Two Northport Businesses Close

1019 Café is no longer serving up meals and Costermonger, known as "The Barn," will continue as an online store.

Northport’s 1019 Café on Fort Salonga Road and Costermonger on Main Street are now closed. However, the home goods store, known around town as, “The Barn,” will continue as an online shop.

1019 Café was known for serving continental cuisine and the restaurant boasted that it would “serve everything from hamburgers and sandwiches to Filet Mignon and lobster tails.”

Costermonger, a quaint shop filled with mostly handmade items, closed abruptly around Halloween after eight years in business.

Known as “The Barn” to locals, the owners took the nickname to brand their online store.

The store was a blend of artifacts, home furnishings and unique house décor items, mostly handcrafted. That theme now continues on its website, http://thebarnus.myshopify.com.
