Ocean Avenue Elementary School
<p>Ocean Avenue Elementary is part of the Northport-East Northport School District and was built in 1938. Students in grades K - 5 attend this school. The district has half-day kindergarten.</p> <p>Despite its address, the school's entrance is actually located on Dogwood Road between Ocean and Norwood avenues. It consists of 25 classrooms on two floors. An addition was built in 1949 and another in 1969. In 1970, a fire destroyed the upper floor of Ocean Avenue School, which was then rebuilt.</p>
