This Weekend: 'Big, Bad Musical'; Teen Photo Exhibit

NORTHPORT

The Big Bad Musical: The Elwood Public Library will present “The Big Bad Musical” Saturday at 2 p.m. In this interactive production, the jury (audience) must decide the outcome of the biggest trial ever in the fairytale world. The notorious Big Bad Wolf is being slapped with a class-action lawsuit by storybooks of quirky characters who want to get even: Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandmother, the Three Little Pigs and the Shepherd in charge of the Boy Who Cried Wolf. This musical has it all: humor, interesting colorful costumes, and a great courtroom set along with Bill Francoeur"s toe-tapping tunes. Call 499- 3722 to register for this family event.

Teen Community Art Project Opening Reception: The Northport Public Library will hold an opening reception for “I Matter,” a teen community art project Sunday at 2 p.m. The teen's photographs will displayed as a public declaration of self-worth. The "I Matter" project is a facet of the Just Like Me Program - a drug prevention program for Long Island teens. No registration is required.

Vision Board Creations: Create a vision board Friday to plan out your life in the new year.  Visit the office of Office of Winter Brook Psychic Medium at 171 Main St., Northport from 7-10 p.m. to join. Program is $30, which includes materials.

HUNTINGTON

Violinist Hye-Jin Kim and guitarist João Luiz (of the Brazil Guitar Duo) team up for a classically rooted, dance-inspired program, Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Cinema Arts Centre.

HALF HOLLOW HILLS

Frank & Camille’s will show off Piano Marvel, an interactive teaching tool that enables students to evolve into well-trained pianists four to five times faster than traditional teaching methods. The Melville piano store will host an open house Saturday 10 am to 3 p.m.
