Northport Football 2013 Schedule
Fourth-seeded Tigers face five playoff teams from a year ago, including Long Island champ Floyd on homecoming.
Guess who’s coming to homecoming? Two-time defending Long Island Class I champion Floyd.
That’s right, Northport football’s reward for its 6-3 season and berth in the Suffolk Division I playoffs a year ago is a 2013 schedule featuring five playoff teams and no lightweights.
The home opener is Sept. 21 against Suffolk power Floyd, which is also homecoming.

Next are back-to-back road tests at football-mad Sachem East and Sachem North. Sachem East knocked off the Tigers in the quarterfinals a year ago, an 18-7 loss.
The Tigers, the No. 4 seed in Division I, close the regular season at home against rival Commack, a game that could very well be crucial to each team’s playoff hopes.
