The boys basketball team led Sachem North until the final minute of Tuesday's Suffolk League II game when Brian Ford made a 5-foot jumper for the Flaming Arrows. It put Sachem up 58-56 in a game Northport lost, 60-56.
Charlie Pace led with 13 points, followed by Matt Smith with 11 points. Sachem North improved to 2-2. Northport will face Whitman at home Friday at 7 p.m.
