Head Injuries and High School Football

The potential dangers of playing the popular sport have caused controversy. Would you let your son play?

With questions about the long term injuries of football making headlines, including whether former NFL star Junior Seau's May suicide was triggered by brain disease stemming from too many hits in the head, many are reconsidering letting their children play football.

President Obama weighed in when he said in an interview that if he had a son instead of two daughters, he says he'd "have to think long and hard" before letting him play football.

There are parents in Northport who also have to weigh that decision and we want to know what they're thinking. We'd also like to know what you would think even if you don't have a high school age son.
