The Northport Track and Field/Cross Country Booster Club will
host a district-wide, one-mile run, Thursday, November 11 and all are
welcome to participate. Beginning at Ocean Avenue School at 9 a.m.,
nine consecutive races will be held, each going off twenty minutes
after the previous run (9 a.m., third grade girls; 9:20 a.m., third grade
boys; 9:40 a.m., fourth grade girls; 10 a.m., fourth grade boys; 10:20
a.m., fi fth grade girls; 10:40 a.m., fi fth grade boys; 10:55 a.m., middle
school girls; 11:10 a.m., middle school boys and 11:20 a.m.; open to
all ages).
Entry is $5 per person and $10 for a family of two or more.
Participants are limited to competing in one race. All races are one
mile. All elementary and middle school races will be concluded with
a trophy being awarded to the fi rst place fi nisher; a t-shirt being
awarded to the top ten fi nishers, and a custom medal awarded to the
top 20 fi nishers. All participants will be able to register on the day of
