Councilman Mayoka & Kiwanis Invite Big 8 Honor Run – Town of Huntington

Please join Councilman Mark Mayoka and the Huntington Kiwanis Club on the morning of Saturday, October 22, 2011 for a veteran's tribute run. For those dedicated runners, there will be a 10k run at 8:00am on a figure eight course throughout the Town of Huntington. The race will finish at Huntington Town Hall in the midst of 1,000 American Flags raised to honor all our Veterans for the Veterans Day Holiday. For those wanting to participate in the 1-mile Fun Run/Walk, it begins at 9:00am and goes around Heckscher Park - all kids are welcome. The proceeds from the Walk and 1-Mile Fun run will be donated to Huntington's Hometown Hero, severely wounded Marine Lt. James Byler and Building Homes For Heroes. Please come out to show your support and patriotism on this honorable day.
