Byler Fundraiser

The National Honor Society is sponsoring a 3-on-3 basketball tournament to support the family of teacher Janet Byler. Her son U.S. Marine First Lieutenant James Byler, a 2003 graduate of Huntington High School and a 2007 graduate of Purdue University, was wounded in Afghanistan in October, losing both legs and both pinky fingers.

He is currently recovering at The National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD with his mom by his side.

The funds raised from the basketball tournament will go, as per James' wishes, to send care packages to soldiers still overseas on active duty.
