Practices have been going on for a couple of weeks, but last weekend games began for the Eaton's Neck Youth Club basketball league in area schools as well as at at the new athletic facility on Fort Salonga Road.
"It was a great two days with alot of fun," said League President Steve Schmitt.
And the 'first-basket award' in an ENYC boys' game at NorthSport goes to 3rd grader Sean Walsh. The first basket in an ENYC girls' game was made by 3rd grader Kate Mclam.
Players can join the Eaton's Neck Youth Club's basketball league in 3rd grade up until their senior year in high school. Play is intraleague.
