Top Northport and Elwood Students Honored by Town Board

Valedictorians and salutatorians from Huntington school districts were honored last month at a meeting of the Town Board.

Town Councilman Mark Cuthberston presented each of the 22 students with a proclamation that included their individual academic and extracurricular achievements. 

“The Town of Huntington is home to the best school districts in the country and I am honored to recognize each valedictorian and salutatorian for graduating this year at the top of their class,” said Cuthbertson June 19 at Town Hall. “Each of these students earned the highest academic honor among their peers and we wish them continued success as they embark on the next phase of their collegiate endeavor."

Valedictorians honored included Caroline Lavaglio of Northport High School; Ribu Mathew of John Glenn High School; Bridget Green of Harborfields High School; Juliana Coraor of Huntington High School; Kimberly Shen of Walt Whitman High School; Andrew Shapiro of Commack High School; Adam Needleman of Half Hollow Hills East High School; and Jason Schanback of Half Hollow Hills West High School.

Salutatorians recognized were Tim D'Agnosto of Northport; Cyril Danielkutty of Harborfields; Justin LoScalzo of Huntington; Nicholas Scover of Whitman; Emma Lecarie of Commack; Aaron Schwartz of Hills East; and Tanya Janin of Hills West.
