The kindergarten students of in Elwood embraced the Thanksgiving spirit during their annual holiday celebration, in which they sang songs and recited poems about giving thanks. At the conclusion of the celebration, the students shared a delicious snack of applesauce and cornbread with their parents, a treat the children made themselves. The celebration brought smiles to the faces of all in attendance, especially guest Barbara Quigley. Ms. Quigley, a retired teacher, introduced the celebration to Harley in 1963.
