Thousands of flags blanket the lawn of Northport Middle School in honor of veterans who have given their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Students and staff placed thousands of minature American flags on the lawn of the in preparation of flag day as part of a fundraiser to purchase a service dog for a deserving soldier. The project was sponsored by the O Ambassador's Club.
