Glenn High School Ranked in U.S. News & World Report [Poll]

Glenn High School ranks at 114 out of 1,165; Northport High School unranked.

U.S. News & World Report gave a silver award to in their nation-wide high school rankings released earlier this week. The school ranked 114 out of 1,165 schools in New York and 870th nationwide.

The study, based on 2009-2010 school year data, shows a 99 percent proficiency in math, a 98 percent proficiency in English, and a 34.6 college readiness index among the student body. The scores are based on student performance on state exit exams and internationally available exams on college-level coursework (AP®/IB exams). See the full report here.

The student-teacher ratio is 15 to 1 with 831 students and 57 full time teachers.

was unranked but showed a 12 to 1 student-teacher ratio, a 97 percent English proficiency, and a 98 percent math proficiency, with a 47.9 college readiness index.
