Joe Wallace will talk about his writing career and focus on his first novel -- Diamond Ruby -- the story of a young girl growing up in Brooklyn in the 1920's.  Diamond Ruby has been compared to A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and has been nominated for the American Library Association Alex Award.
