Snapshots in Time: Tales of Our Community

Tuesday, November 9, 7:30 p.m. – Northport Public Library

Did you know that in 1656 Eaton's Neck was purchased from Chief Asharoken for "two coats, four shirts, seven quarts of 'licker,' and eleven ounces of powder" or that in 1833 an East Northport man owned one of the most fabled trotters in American history? These are some of the fascinating stories compiled by long-time Northport resident Bob Little in his new book Snapshots in Time: Tales of Our Community. Mr. Little writes a monthly column for the Northport Historical Society that is published in the Village Connection. Join him for a glimpse of our community's rich historical tapestry.
