2011 Northport Summer Music

July 12 – August 12

EXPLORATORY INSTRUMENTAL LESSONS for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.

24 daily, hour-long group lessons include 30 minutes of supervised practice each day.

Lessons are scheduled from 7:30 a.m. through 11:45 a.m.

At the conclusion of the program, students will receive an evaluation form detailing the many skills they have acquired.

Students will be counseled about their choice of available instruments before registration.

CONTINUING INSTRUMENTAL LESSONS for 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th graders.

12 half-hour group lessons are offered who are currently enrolled in Band or Orchestra.

Lessons are scheduled from 7:30 a.m. through 11:45 a.m. either on Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays; also two alternating Fridays.

CONTINUING ENSEMBLES for 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th graders.

CHORUSES – ORCHESTRAS - CONTINUING BANDS

All rehearsals are from 10:00 – 11:00 a. m., twice weekly plus two alternating Fridays. It is possible to be in Band or Orchestra AND Chorus!

Band and Orchestra – Tuesday/Thursday – 4th and 5th graders

Chorus – Monday/Wednesday – 4th and 5th graders

Band and Orchestra – Monday/Wednesday – 6th and 7th graders

Chorus – Tuesday/Thursday – 6th and 7th graders

Summer Music Concert for Continuing Ensembles: Thursday, August 11, 7:00 pm.
