Elwood to Vote on $59.9M Budget; Choose 2 Board Members

Voters will also choose two Board of Education candidates from a field of four.

 Elwood School District voters headed to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots for or against the proposed 2011-12 budget totaling

The resulting tax-levy increase is $2,951,492 or 7.98%. That translates into a $229.41 tax rate per $100 of assessed value, an 8.91% increase.

Voters will also choose two out of four candidates to sit on the Board of Education to take the seats of Michael Kazubski and Patricia Matos. The candidates are: , and
