Elwood Students Celebrate Thanksgiving

Parents got a special Thanksgiving treat before the holiday break when kindergarten classes at Harley Avenue Primary School in the Elwood Union Free School District entertained them with a Thanksgiving performance.

Students performed a series of songs dressed as Native Americans and Pilgrims. At the conclusion of the celebration, students enjoyed a delicious feast with their parents that included cornbread and butter they made themselves.

When asked what he was thankful for, one student replied, “I’m thankful that my family was here, clapping for me as I came in to the show.”
