Elwood Students Celebrate MLK Day

James H. Boyd Intermediate School students in the Elwood School District honored the birth of Martin Luther King Jr. through poetry, song, photographs and his words during an assembly Jan. 17.

Student Council President Daniel Rourke and vice president Alexandra Haddad acted as the program’s masters of ceremonies.

The children took to the podium to share biographical presentations of Dr. King, as well as excerpts from his “I Have a Dream” speech.
