Bomb Threat Evacuates East Northport Middle School

Superintendent Marylou McDermott informed parents via ConnectEd phone system.

A ConnectEd message from Superintendent of Schools Marylou McDermott informed parents that a bomb threat had been found at East Northport Middle School at 1 p.m. Thursday.

In the message, McDermott stated, "Principal Joanne Kroon has informed me that a bomb threat was written in one of the boys bathrooms at East Northport Middle School. To err on side of caution we have evacuated all students and staff by bus to which is not in session today police and our district security are searching the building at this time. All of our students and staff are safe and I will continue to inform you as the situation progresses."
