The 21.9-acre peninsula on Asharoken’s Duck Island was recently sold for $7 million, according to a Newsday report.
John Rittenhouse, chief executive of EDF
Trading, went into contract in August to buy Duck Island Way, the peninsula
extending into Northport Harbor. The property first came onto the market
in 2011 for $12 million.
Rittenhouse, 55, currently lives in London but grew up in Asharoken; his father the former police commissioner and his mother a former zoning board member.
