Town Clerk Candidate: Jo-Ann Raia [VIDEO]

Republican incumbent running unopposed

Republican incumbent Jo-Ann Raia has served as Huntington town clerk since 1982 and is currently running unopposed. 

Raia represents Nassau and Suffolk Counties as District Director of the New York State Town Clerks' Association (NYSTCA, and is a liaison to the state Department of Health (Division of Vital Statistics) and Department of Motor Vehicles (Disability Parking Permit Division). 

Raia has dedicated time outside of her position to improve the quality of life in Suffolk County through the many local, state-wide, and national business, civic and charitable organizations to which she belongs. Her contributions, personal and professional, have been recognized and honored by a variety of awards presented to her by those organizations.

She has been a resident of Huntington for a large part of her life and raised two children, Andrew and Diane, who both graduated from Huntington High School. Andrew is the state assemblyman for the 9th Assembly District.
