Keeping in step with the occasion, President Barack Obama's inaugural speech on Monday emphasized unity and equality in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Some of the major topics addressed were gender equality, gay marriage, guns, immigration, and the economy. Though the President emphasized individual freedoms, he noted that their preservation ultimately requires collective action.
