Super Bowl Food Drive

Stop & Shop, Island Harvest and Legis. Steve Stern partner to help the hungry this weekend.

Planning a Super Bowl party? Help a neighbor by picking up a few extra canned goods while grocery shopping tomorrow to donate to Long Islanders in need.

Legis. Steve Stern (D-Huntington) is teaming up with Island Harvest to collect non-perishable food items for area food pantries at Super Stop & Shop locations in Dix Hills, East Northport and Deer Park.  Join Stern, Randi Dresner and children from the community volunteering to help their neighbors in need during these challenging times from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday.

“The Super Bowl is always a time of fun and food with family and friends. As we look forward to supporting our team to a Giant victory, please support the Island Harvest-Legislator Stern team to help our neighbors in need,” Stern said.

“I ask my neighbors to please come to any of the three locations and donate what you can. It is always great to see the best of our community when we come together to assist each other,” he added.
