Photos: Crowd Packs Crab Meadow For “Flipped”

Hundreds turn out to watch romantic comedy at Town of Huntington sponsored drive-in movie.

Although some say drive-in movies are a dying breed, you’d never know it by the hundreds who turned out to watch “Flipped” at the Crab Meadow Beach Drive-in.

The outdoor performance is the second in a series hosted by Councilman Mark Cuthbertson and the Town of Huntington.  Cuthbertson and Councilwoman Glenda Jackson welcomed the audience.

For the families who turned out, it was as much about enjoying popcorn, pizza, and fried chicken in company of friends on a beautiful summer night as it was about the film directed by Rob Reiner that debuted in 2010.

Movie lovers of all ages watched the PG-rated romantic comedy from the vantage point of beach blankets, lawn chairs, cars, and the backs and tops of SUVs.
