Happy Monday Northporters. From a Board of Education meeting to a girls basketball scrimmage, there's plenty of opportunity to get involved in the community today.

1.  Sunrise today will be at 6:59 a.m. and sunset will be at 4:30 p.m., according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration calculator.   Low tide is predicted to be at 11:20 a.m. and again at 11:45 p.m. High tide is predicted to be at 4:48 a.m. and 5:14 p.m. Those predictions are also from the NOAA.

4. Thanksgiving is over but the need for food in local pantries is not. The East Northport Chamber of Commerce is holding a food drive and the  is open from 10 a.m. to noon daily. Read more here.
