Election 2012: 12th Assembly District

Redrawn 12th District occupies territory once represented by 9th, elongated to South Shore.

District lines were redrawn earlier this year, moving State Assembly District 12 from Nassau's South Shore to what is now mostly constituted by territory on Suffolk's North Shore.

The new 12th Assembly now includes Northport, East Northport, Asharoken, Eatons Neck, and parts of Commack, Brentwood, Deer Park, Baywood, Islip, and West Islip. See a full PDF map of the district attached or find your polling place here.

Assemb. Andrew Raia, R-East Northport, was elected for the Ninth District and is now running unchallenged for the 12th. Due to redistricting, the new ninth Assembly District consists of Suffolk and Nassau communities including West Babylon, Babylon Village, West Islip, the western sections of Bay Shore and Brightwaters, the Great South Bay and Barrier Beaches from Jones Beach to Robert Moses, Massapequa and Massapequa Park.
