Construction to Begin at Scudder Beach in June

Beach to remain open.

Construction to install support pilings for a denitrification system at the Northport sewage treatment plant will begin in mid-June, Village Trustee Damon McMullen said Tuesday.

Work is expected to take roughly two weeks. Construction will take place weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Although traffic patterns may be modified, village officials said Scudder Beach will remain open during the construction.

Any questions or complaints can be directed to Damon McMullen or Village Administrator Gene Guido at Village Hall.
