Agenda: Northport Board of Trustees Meeting

Meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The Northport Board of Trustees will meet at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Village Hall. The meeting has been moved up one hour from its regular time due to Harbor Family Night on Main Street. 

The following items are on the agenda:

BOARD APPROVAL OF WARRANT:

Fiscal Year 2013/2014General Fund bills in the amount of $ 157,316.93

RESOLUTION 2013 ~ 92~ APPROVAL OF THE JULY 9, 2013 MINUTES

WHEREAS: Copies of the minutes of the July 9, 2013, meeting were sent to the Board for approval, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED that said minutes are approved without reading, at this time.

RESOLUTION 2013 ~ 93~ APPROVAL OF THE JULY 30, 2013 MINUTES

WHEREAS: Copies of the minutes of the July 30, 2013, meeting were sent to the Board for approval, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED that said minutes are approved without reading, at this time.

RESOLUTION 2013- 94 ~ IMPOSING PARKING RESTRICTIONS PURSUANT TO VILLAGE CODE SECTION 256-10A

WHEREAS, the Chief of Police, the Department of Public Works and code enforcement officials have recommended that no parking restrictions be imposed on the east side of School Street starting from the south east corner of the intersection of Ackerly Terrace and School St. thence running 160' south of Ackerly Terrace

WHEREAS, Village Code section 256-10A as amended provides that the Board of Trustees may impose these parking restrictions by resolution;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that vehicular parking shall be prohibited on the east side of School Street 160' south of Ackerly Terrace. The Department of Public Works is directed to forthwith install signage to comply with this restriction and the Village Police and parking enforcement officials shall be instructed to enforce this restriction.

RESOLUTION 2013- 95 HIGHWAY FOREMEN

BE IT RESOLVED: That Assistant Highway Supervisor Bryan Hartt be and hereby is appointed to the position of Highway Supervisor effective August 1, 2013.

RESOLUTION 2013- 96 ~ SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT

BE IT RESOLVED: that the seasonal applicants recommended by the Village Clerk and the Village Administrator are hereby approved.

RESOLUTION 2013 -97 ~ GANNETT FLEMING

BE IT RESOLVED: The Village Board hereby authorizes the expenditure to Gannett Fleming in the amount of $16,600 (Phase I Sewer Maps $12,600 Phase IIA Develop scope of work $4,000) for engineering costs associated with the implementing the plan of study for illicit discharge and elimination (IDDE) as part of the NYS DEC consent order.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees will be on September 3, 2013 at 6:00 P.M
