Agenda: Northport Board of Trustees Meeting

Board to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Village Hall.

The Northport Village Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Village Hall. Among the items on the agenda:

  • Letter from Christine Mulholland requesting stop sign on Highland Ave. 
  • Letter from Nina’s Pizza to close Main Street from Laurel Ave to Norwood Ave. Saturday, August 10
  • A request from Angels for Warriors, a not-for-profit volunteer organization providing information and guidance about the essential resources available to America’s returning warriors and their families.
RESOLUTION 2013- 79 ~ ROUND ELEVEN OF THE DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION FUNDS
 
WHEREAS: One of the most valuable resources of the Incorporated Village of Northport is its vibrant business district, and

WHEREAS: The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Northport has a great interest in working cooperatively with the Northport Chamber of Commerce in its efforts to promote this vital resource; and

WHEREAS: The Board of Trustees has supported the application of the
Northport Chamber of Commerce on previous rounds in seeking funding from
a Suffolk County Downtown Revitalization Grant; and

WHEREAS: the Chamber is desirous of putting up an informational kiosk at the foot of Main Street and other informational boards along Main Street with the assistance of additional Suffolk County Downtown Revitalization grant funds; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Trustees hereby supports the project of
the Northport Chamber of Commerce for which Suffolk County Downtown Revitalization (Round 11) grant funds are being sought for the public
benefit and authorize the Mayor to execute necessary documentation, approved
as to form and content by the Village Attorney, in sponsorship of the grant
application.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees will be on June 18, 2013 at 6:00 P.M
