A Florida woman was killed Sunday in a two-car crash in East Northport.
said that Geraldine Michaelson, 60, had stopped at a red light at the intersection of Larkfield and Cedar Road about 4:40 p.m. After the light turned green, she started west but her vehicle was hit by a northbound Ford van. Police said the van went through a red light.
Michaelson was taken to , where she was later pronounced dead. A passenger in Michaelson’s vehicle, her 11-year-old granddaughter, and the driver of the van, Mark Fairchild, 57, were also treated at Huntington Hospital and released.

Fairchild, of East Northport, was issued a summons for driving through a red light.
Both vehicles where impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
