How Fast was this young girl Jessica driving it is a 40 mph Zone. People are all driving over the posted speed limits especially on lacks roads.

Matt and Lucy are my BEST FRIENDS, I`ve known them for many years, they are GOOD people. The girl that hit there auto must have been speeding, and not paying attention to the road, possibly TEXTING or on the CELL PHONE. Please pray for the DiPietro`s.

THE DRIVER OF THE MAZDA UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES HAS THE RIGHT OF WAY OVER A VEHICLE ENTERING A MAIN ROADWAY SUCH AS JERICHO FROM A PRIVATE PARKING FIELD. IT'S UNFORTUNATE, BUT THE OPERATOR OF THE BUICK FAILED TO YIELD AND MISJUDGED THE DISTANCE OF THE APPROACHING VEHICLE.

Jen is baby ok, who has baby now (the dog), They love that dog so much. I'm so devastated, I can't stop crying.

Unfortunately, Jen can't give any info on baby as veterinary workers have confidentiallity laws, but family has been updated on his condition.

I was one of the first people to witness what happened this evening. I was one of the techs that was on scene with Jen rescuing baby. Spoke to pretty much every cop and EMT that was there. What seemed to happen is the dipetro's did not have their headlights on and making a right hand turn and instead of Turning into the right hand lane they wind up jumping into the left hand lane. This was just a tragic accident . I feel deeply sorry for friends and family of these what seems to be beautiful people.

Jessica is a responsible driver, and an all around amazing person. She is a long time friend of mine. This is a devastating tragedy for all involved. It is easy to pass judgement and paint people as villains when you don't know them and don't bother to wait and hear both sides of the story. Her phone history shows that she was not texting or talking on the phone. She was on her way home from the grocery store. Her car was manual, she shifted it into neutral, uncertain if the Buick was going to try to make the turn. When the car made the turn, she went on her brakes. She had the right of way, and did what any other person would have done in that situation. She definitely doesn't bare all the blame in this. She is absolutely devastated and worried sick for Mrs. DiPietro's wellbeing mind you, and it doesn't help anything by senselessly attacking her. Rather than pointing fingers and instigating internet fights, we should be focusing our energy on prayers and good wishes for everyone's recovered health. If you have nothing but hate-filled, anger-charged comments to make, then please refrain from doing so.

Couldn't this 76 yr old driver be guilty also of all the things you just described? His failure to yield is what initially caused this accident. You're incapable of being objective due to your relationship with this couple. GOOD people can also be BAD drivers.
