Later that afternoon, Ludwig Farr, 82, had a heart attack outside of his home on Ocean Avenue around 2 p.m. He was taken to Huntington Hospital by Northport Rescue where he was pronounced dead.

Northport remains under a state of emergency as of Friday at 5:45 p.m. Northport Police urged residents to move cars off streets and stay off the roads to allow for plows and emergency vehicles.

The Huntington Hospital emergency room saw multiple snow-related injuries and incidents this past weekend, including snow blower hand injuries and chest pains associated with snow shoveling activity.
