Three cars, including one police car, were involved in a noon car accident at the intersection of Clay Pitts Road and Alma Lane on Friday, according to Suffolk County Police.
Two cars were traveling East on Clay Pitts when they collided, sending one of the cars to the opposite side of the road and into a brand new Second Precinct Police car.
Two people and the officer were transported to Huntington Hospital with various injuries, none life threatening. The cars are still at the scene and the road closed as of 1:50 p.m. according to an eye witness.
