Suffolk Police Report: Man Accused of Assault with Tire Iron

The following was taken from the blotter. An arrest does not indicate a conviction as all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

• Brian Conboy, 36, from East Northport was arrested in Huntington Station on April 13 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, second degree criminal contempt, and assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon after he struck a man in the head with a tire iron, sending him to the hospital with severe injuries. Conboy was also in violation of an order of protection.

• Ashley Fransen, 21, from East Northport was arrested in East Northport on April 20 and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth degree public criminal possession of marijuana.
