Suffolk Police Incidents: You Snooze You Lose; Generator Theft

Incidents reported in the second precinct, Aug. 5-13.

The following incidents were reported by the Suffolk Police Department in the second precinct between Aug. 5 and 13.

  • A man discovered his watch missing after dozing off at Radio Bar on New Street in Huntington on Aug. 10. 
  • A home on 5th Avenue in East Northport was burglarized on Aug. 12. The thief stole an iPad and a Panasonic Toughbook after breaking in through a second story back door.
  • One window screen was slashed and the other removed at an 11th Avenue home in Huntington Station Aug. 12. 
  • A generator was stolen from a garage on Thorman in Huntington on Aug. 13. 
  • A man was assaulted by two others in the Walgreens parking lot in Huntington Station. He suffered a minor injury and was treated at the hospital.
  • Verbal threats were made against a woman on Catherine Street in East Northport Aug. 11.
  • A man was assaulted by an unknown man on New York Avenue Aug. 10, who started an argument and then punched him in the face. 
  • A man was punched in the back of the head by another man on Markwood Lane in Elwood Aug. 8, causing a minor laceration. The man was treated at the hospital.
  • An iPhone, a briefcase and checks were stolen from a home on Haven Lane in East Northport on Aug. 7.
