Suffolk Police Incidents: Knifepoint Mugging; Break-In

Incidents reported in the second precinct between April 23 and May 1.

The following incidents were reported in the Suffolk Police Department Second Precinct between April 23 and May 1.

  • A tall man wearing a black jacket reportedly brandished a knife and demanded money from someone at the USA Gas Station on East Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station. The man fled with the cash.
  • An unknown person entered through the unlocked rear door of a house on Woodhull Road and stole money from a purse.
  • A man reportedly threatened to shoot a man and his family on Depot Road in Huntington Station.
  • An unknown person attempted to break into a home in Huntington Station through a rear window. Nothing was stolen.
  • A unknown person reportedly entered a Halesite home through unlocked rear sliding doors and stole unspecified items. The person also stole cash from an unlocked car parked in the driveway.
  • A man wearing orange shorts and a blue shirt reportedly broke the window of a car on Lowndes Avenue in Huntington Station with a BB gun.
  • Someone reportedly wrote a bad check when buying a lawn mower from another individual on Bellerose Avenue in East Northport.
