Suffolk Police Blotter: DWI, Attempted Break-Ins, Criminal Mischief and More

The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County police officers between Dec. 19-26:

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The following arrests were made between Dec 19-25:

Arrests:

  • A 34-year old Melville woman was arrested in East Northport on Dec. 25 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle for driving with a suspended license and DWI. First Offense.
  • A 19-year-old Northport man was arrested in East Northport on Dec. 22 and charged with DWI. First offense.
  • A 17-year-old East Northport man was arrested in East Northport on Dec. 21 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
  • A 17-year-old Northport man was arrested on Dec. 19 in East Northport and charged with filing a false report about a stolen car and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree for possessing a stolen GPS and sunglasses. Also charged with criminal possession of the stolen property were a 16-year-old Port Jefferson man and another 16-year-old Northport man.
  • A 35-year-old East Northport man was arrested in Amityville on Dec. 21 and charged with violating a court order of protection and resisting arrest.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between Dec. 20-26:

  • On Dec. 20, a Bernard Street resident in Fort Salonga reported an attempted break-in. Nothing was taken.
  • On Dec. 20 a Fieldview Drive resident in Fort Salonga reported that jewelry had been stolen from the home.
  • Someone threw a rock and shattered the glass door of Bagel Port on Larkfield Road in East Northport on Dec. 26.
  • A utility trailer was stolen from a Stoothoff Road driveway in East Northport on Dec. 26.
  • Someone removed cash from an apartment on Bellerose Avenue in East Northport sometime on Dec. 24.
  • Someone damaged the roof of a 1988 Mercedes convertible while it was parked in a driveway on 4th Ave in East Northport sometime on Dec. 21.
