Suffolk Police Arrests: Assault; Scamming

Arrests reported in the second precinct, June 19-24.

The following arrests were reported in the Suffolk County Police Second Precinct between June 19-24. An arrest does not indicate a conviction as all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

  • Two women were arrested on June 22 in Huntington Station and charged with third degree assault after they allegedly punched and pulled the hair of another woman on June 1. The woman was transported to Huntington Hospital for her injuries.
  • A Huntington man was arrested on June 21 and charged with fourth degree grand larceny after he allegedly stole a man's cell phone on New York Avenue in Huntington Station.
  • A homeless man was arrested in Huntington Station on June 20 and charged with first degree burglary after he allegedly broke into a home on Academy Place in Huntington Station and stole a cell phone while displaying a firearm.
  • A Huntington man was arrested in Greenlawn on June 21 and charged with two counts of petty larceny after he allegedly stole money from a tip jar at 112 Broadway in Greenlawn.
  • Karyn Schuneman form Huntington Station was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with third degree grand larceny, a felony, and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on June 21. Schuneman allegedly changed work orders and stole payments subimitted for repairs while working at Phoenix Air Conditioning and Heating on East Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station.
  • A Freeport man was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with petty larceny after on June 22 after he allegedly stole four shirts and pants from Macy's in Walt Whitman Mall.
