Suffolk County Police Report: Invitation to a Fight; Criminal Mischief

The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County police officers between Sept. 7-13.

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The following arrests were made between Sept. 7-13.

Arrests:

  • Carol Brattoya, 45, of Centerport, was arrested in Northport on Sept. 12 and charged with petit larceny.
  • A 17-year-old Commack woman was arrested in East Northport on Sept. 13 and charged with petit larceny.
  • A 15-year-old Brentwood woman was arrested in East Northport on Sept. 9 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
  • Carolyn Brenna, 45, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on Sept. 9 and charged with reckless driving and aggravated DWI.
  • Jesse Davino, 22, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on Sept. 7 and charged with third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
  • Bonnie Apolito, 51, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on Sept. 7 and charged with second degree aggravated harassment.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between Sept. 8-13:

  • A Trescott Road resident in Fort Salonga reported on Sept. 13 that someone damaged her mailbox.
  • On Sept. 12, a Northport man reported being harassed while walking on Waterside Road in Northport by a man he knew who was driving a car with other known males. He was challenged to a fight, got into the car, and was driven to a parking lot on Route 25A and Norwood Road where the fight continued. The man sustained minor cuts and bruises.
  • On Sept. 8 a Verizon Wireless employee reported that while he was filling out paperwork on Norwood Road in Fort Salonga, an unknown, middle-aged white man wearing tan shorts yelled at and threatened him.
  • On Sept. 11, there were two incidents of criminal mischief involving cars parked in front of homes on 4th Street in East Northport.  At one address, the owner reported scratches to the driver’s side front door and rear quarter of his 2008 Saturn View and 2010 Toyota Tacoma. The other homeowner reported scratches to the driver’s side front panel of his 2001 Honda Civic and 2009 Nissan Rogue.
  • On Sept. 10, a Monmouth Drive resident in East Northport reported that someone broke the rear window of his 1997 Ford.
  • On Sept. 9, a woman reported that a 1995 Chevy Blazer was missing from her mother’s home on Findley Drive in East Northport.
  • On Sept. 8, someone broke three windows at the Manor Plains School on Little Plains Road in Elwood.
  • On Sept. 8, a woman reported that someone smashed the passenger side window of her 2011 Chevy while it was parked in the south parking lot at the .
