Suffolk County Police Blotter: Spray-Painters, Threats, Computer Fraud, and More

The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County police officers between April 23-30.

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The following arrests were made between April 26-28.

Arrests:

  • Jason Carbonaro, 26, of Greenlawn, was arrested in Northport on April 26 and charged with violating conditions of parole.
  • John Coakley, 41, of Farmingdale, was arrested in East Northport on April 28 and charged with loitering and unlawful use of a controlled substance.
  • John Molina, 48, of Kings Park, was arrested in East Northport on April 28 and charged with loitering, unlawful use of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone) in the seventh degree.
  • Christopher Mayhew, 19, of East Northport, was arrested in Elwood on April 27 and charged with reckless endangerment for allegedly using his vehicle and a crow bar to strike another occupied vehicle.
  • James Lang, 19, of East Northport, was arrested in St. James on April 28 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
  • William Thomas, of East Northport, was arrested in Greenlawn on April 26 and charged with criminal contempt for violating a court order of protection.
  • Anthony Corcione, 21 of East Northport, was arrested in Huntington Station on April 26 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between April 23-26:

  • On April 30, a Bread and Cheese Hollow resident in Fort Salonga reported that she had received threatening phone calls from an unknown male.
  • On April 30, a N. Creek Road resident in Eatons Neck reported computer fraud involving the sale of a 1995 Jeep.
  • On April 27, an Allen Place resident in Northport reported that she had received threatening phone calls from an unknown woman.
  • On April 26, an 8th Street resident in Northport reported that she had received threatening messages via phone and Facebook from a known male.
  • On April 26, a Cornflower East Lane resident in Northport reported that an unknown suspect broke the passenger side window and dented the rear bumper on his 2008 BMW.
  • On April 25, a Ft. Salonga Road resident in East Northport reported that someone damaged the engine of his 1979 Pontiac Firebird.
  • On April 25, a Hillside Avenue resident in East Northport reported that an unknown male had pushed him in the chest after a brief verbal confrontation. The suspect fled in a red Infiniti.
  • On April 24, an Upland Drive resident in East Northport reported that someone had spray-painted his driveway and basement window, and a window was broken with a rock.
  • On April 24, another Upland Drive resident in East Northport reported that someone had  spray-painted his paving stones.
  • On April 23, a man was assaulted by two males outside the in East Northport. He sustained injuries to his lip, mouth and head.
