Suffolk County Police Blotter: Public Lewdness, DWI, Burglary, and More

The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County police officers between Dec. 28 and Jan. 3:

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The following arrests were made between Dec. 28-Jan 3:

Arrests:

  • A 55-year-old Northport man was arrested in Northport on Dec. 29 and charged with harassment in the second degree for grabbing and pushing another person.
  • A 63-year-old Dix Hills man was arrested in East Northport on Jan. 1 and charged with DWI. First offense.
  • A 50-year-old man from East Northport was arrested in East Northport on Jan. 1 and charged with lewdness with intent to be seen.
  • A 19-year-old Northport man was arrested in Sound Beach on Jan. 1 and charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree for sending threatening text messages.
  • An 18-year-old Fort Salonga woman was arrested in Lake Grove on Dec. 28 and charged with petit larcency for taking merchandise from Macy’s in the Smithhaven Mall.
  • A 20-year old East Northport man was arrested in Commack on Jan. 1 and charged with DWI. First offense.
  • A 17-year-old East Northport woman was arrested in Lake Grove on Dec. 30 and charged with petit larceny for taking merchandise from JC Penney and Macy’s in the Smithhaven Mall.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between Dec. 28 and Jan. 3:

  • On Jan. 3, someone damaged a BMW while it was parked at the on Bellerose Avenue in East Northport.
  • On Jan. 1, a man reported that someone damaged his Honda Accord while it was parked at his Kimberly Drive residence in East Northport.
  • Someone stole construction equipment on Dec. 27 from a business on Jericho Turnpike in Elwood.
  • On Dec. 27, a woman reported that someone removed electronic equipment and a wallet containing cash from her Vernon Valley Road home in East Northport sometime after Christmas.
