Suffolk County Police Blotter: Heroin Sale, Jewelry Theft, One Unhappy Chase Customer, and More
The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County police officers between March 7-15
The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department’s crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The following arrests were made between March 7-15:
Arrests:
- Kerrie Shannon, of Centerport, was arrested in East Northport on March 15 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
- Sean McArdle, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on March 15 and charged with loitering and unlawful use of a controlled substance.
- Mary Oldak, of Huntington Station, was arrested in Elwood on March 15 and charged with DWI. First offense.
- Paul Vollers, of Commack, was arrested in East Northport on March 14 and charged with DWI. First offense.
- Jonathan Valle, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on March 12 and charged with criminal mischief: intent to damage property and resisting arrest for allegedly punching a man in the face and breaking his glasses.
- Bryon Lowe, of North Amityville, was arrested in East Northport on March 11 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree.
- Christos Vicatos, of Kings Park, was arrested in Elwood on March 9 and charged with DWI. First offense.
- Anthony Laquan, of Holbrook, was arrested in East Northport on March 9 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with the intent to sell cocaine.
- Preston Buchanan, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on March 8 and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree for selling heroin.
- Donald Paffrath, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on March 7 and charged with falsely reporting an incident in the third degree for allegedly calling 911 after a dispute over money with his employer and saying that he had a machine gun.
The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between March 7-15:

- On March 8, police responded to the Harley Avenue Primary School in Elwood and found a burnt, Duraflame-type log on the roof of the building. It was unclear how long the log had been there. There were no visible signs of damage to the building.
- On March 11, a Kew Court resident in Asharoken reported that someone stole a white gold herringbone necklace and cash from her residence.
- On March 12, an unknown male at the on Jericho Turnpike in Elwood grew agitated when he wasn’t able to cash a check without ID and kicked and shattered the front glass door before fleeing.
- On March 9, a Norma Street resident in East Northport reported being harassed over the phone by a caller who cursed at her and called her back repeatedly.
