Suffolk County Police Blotter: Harrassing Phone Calls, a Vehicular Egging, and Slashed Tires

The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County police officers between Feb 24-28

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The following arrests were made between Feb. 25-28:

Arrests:

  • Thomas Alfano, of West Islip, was arrested in Asharoken on Feb. 27 and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alchohol content .08 of 1%.
  • Joseph Donarummo, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on Feb. 28 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
  • Matthew Veltre, of East Northport, was arrested in Deer Park on Feb. 28 and charged with criminal trespassing in the third degree.
  • Todd Russell, of East Northport, was arrested in Huntington Station on Feb. 25 and charged with assault in the third degree with intent to cause physical injury.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between Feb. 24-26.:

  • On Feb. 26, a Josephine Lane resident in Fort Salonga reported that someone threw eggs at her Honda Accord, causing paint damage, while it was parked in front of her residence.
  • On Feb. 25, a West View Road resident in Eaton’s Neck reported receiving harassing phone calls.
  • On Feb. 24, a Waterview Street W resident in Northport reported receiving harassing phone calls.
  • A Deland Street resident in East Northport reported on Feb. 26 that someone had slashed the tires on her 1996 Chevy Blazer while it was parked in front of her residence.
  • On Feb. 26 a Dumplin Hill Lane resident in Elwood reported receiving threatening phone calls.
