Suffolk Police Blotter: Car Stolen from Harley Avenue School And More

The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County police officers between May 26-June 4.

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The following arrests were made between May 26-June 4.

Arrests:

  • Charlene Montefusco, 30, of Huntington, was arrested in Northport on June 1 and charged with assault: recklessly causing physical injury.
  • Angela Haegeland, 44, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on June 4 and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, first degree.
  • Michael DiFrancesca, 40, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on June 4 and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree for violating an order of protection.
  • Mark West, 54, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on June 1 and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree for violating an order of protection.
  • Alan Buitrago, 24, of East Northport, was arrested in Hauppauge on May 28 and charged with filing a false report.
  • Salih Geduk, 46, of Northport, was arrested in Commack on May 27 and charged with grand larceny in the third degree.
  • Audrey Giordano, 54, of East Northport, was arrested in Patchogue on May 27 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
  • William Leon, 51, of East Northport, was arrested in Queens on May 26 and charged with grand larceny.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between May 26-June 4:

  • On June 4, a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer was stolen from the parking lot of the in Elwood.
  • On June 4, an Ashley Loop resident in Fort Salonga reported that someone removed checks and a credit card from her unlocked car while it was parked in front of her home.
  • On June 4, a Pamela Lane resident in East Northport reported that someone broke the driver’s side rear window of her 2008 Honda CRV while it was parked in the driveway.
  • Someone smashed the front door of on Larkfield Road in East Northport sometime on June 2 and took cash from the register.
  • On June 2, a Larkfield Road resident in East Northport reported that an unknown person used her credit card to make purchases at Rite Aid, Walmart, and 7-Eleven.
  • On June 1, a Clay Pitts Road resident in East Northport reported that someone stole a Play Station and an Xbox from his home.
  • On May 31, a Vernon Valley Road resident in East Northport reported that someone broke the front window of his home using a BB gun.
  • On May 31, police were called to on Larkfield Road in East Northport on a report of a group of youths fighting in the parking lot. One of the youths pushed another through a window pane of the store. The group fled before police arrived.
  • On May 30, an Old Bridge Road resident in East Northport reported that someone damaged her mailbox.
  • On May 29, someone ripped the aluminum handrails from the bleachers at on Bellerose Avenue in East Northport.
  • On May 28, a man reported that someone damaged a cast iron planter in front of on Larkfield Road in East Northport.
  • On May 28, a man reported that someone damaged his 1999 Buick LeSabre while it was parked at Seven Brothers Deli on East Jericho Turnpike in East Northport.
