Suffolk County Police Blotter: Brawls at Bars and Diners, a Burglary, and More

The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County police officers between April 11-23.

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The following arrests were made between April 11-23.

Arrests:

  • Justin Friedman, 27, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on April 21 and charged with harassment in the second degree: physical contact.
  • Donna Marie Weaver, 47, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on April 19 and charged with harassment in the second degree: physical contact.
  • Eric Gordon, 19, of Deer Park, was arrested in East Northport on April 16 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
  • Joseph Hanna, 20, of Deer Park, was arrested in East Northport on April 16 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
  • Michael Barbarito, 21, of Dix Hills, was arrested in Elwood on April 16 and charged with DWI. First offense.
  • Shane Pfluger, 19, of Northport, was arrested in Commack on April 22 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree: narcotic drug with intent to sell.
  • Ryan Nelson, 20, of Northport, was arrested in Selden on April 15 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
  • Matthew Carlson, 30, of Ft. Salonga, was arrested in Smithtown on April 11 and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree for allegedly disobeying a court order of protection.
  • Nicholas Zacharia, 24, of East Northport, was arrested in Huntington Station on April 15 and charged with DWI. First offense.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between April 14-23:

  • On April 22, an Eatons Neck Road resident reported that someone had left scratches on her 2008 Honda Accord while it was parked in the driveway.
  • On April 19, an Asharoken Avenue resident reported receiving harassing texts and emails from a woman.
  • On April 17, .
  • On April 23, a man had an altercation with two other men outside on Laurel Avenue in East Northport. The man received cuts to his lip, mouth, and head.
  • A Valentine Avenue resident in Elwood reported on April 22 that someone had broken the rear driver’s side window of his 2003 Hundai Elantra while it was parked in the driveway.
  • On April 20, someone attempted to use credit cards in various stores in the Commack area which had been reported lost by a 3rd Street resident in East Northport.
  • On April 19, a man assaulted another man outside the Candlelight Diner on Vets Highway in Commack, punching him in the face, eye and head and sending him to the hospital.
  • On April 18, a woman reported that someone a purse from her Honda CRV while it was parked outside Retro Fitness on West Jericho Turnpike in Elwood.
  • On April 14, a woman reported that someone stole a wallet from her purse while she was at work at 50 Burr Road in Elwood.
