Suffolk County Police Blotter: Bouncer Bounced, Tires Slashed, Jewelry Stolen, and More

The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County police officers between Jan. 30 and Feb. 11.

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The following arrests were made between Jan. 30 and Feb. 10:

Arrests:

  • Zebediah Schildkraut, of Northport, was arrested in Northport on Feb. 10 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
  • Jagger Nuzzi, of Northport, was arrested in Northport on Feb. 10 and chargd with unlawful possession of marijuana.
  • Gunnar Walsh, of Northport, was arrested in Northport on Feb. 8 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
  • Sarah Whelan, of Northport, was arrested in Northport on Feb. 8 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
  • Maxwell Dutton, of Kings Park, was arrested in Northport on Feb. 6 and charged with a criminal sex act in the first degree.
  • Michael Murphy, of Elwood, was arrested in Elwood on Feb. 5 and charged with DWI. First offense.
  • Charles Garelle, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on Feb. 5 and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree for violating an order of protection.
  • Robert Tringali, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on Feb. 1 and charged with criminal possession in the third degree of an S130 Bobcat valued at more than $3000.

  • James Lawless, of Northport, was arrested in Ronkonkoma on Jan. 30 for forgery in the second degree.
  • Eugene Curran, of East Northport, was arrested in Yaphank on Feb. 10 and charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child.
  • Joseph Guarino, of East Northport, was arrested in Smithtown on Feb. 6 and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and causing property damage.
  • Sean O’Reilly, of East Northport, was arrested in Huntington Station on Feb. 5 and charged with DWI. First offense.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between Jan. 31 and Feb. 11:

  • On Feb. 11 a Bark Lane resident in Northport reported a fight between two men in which one man was assaulted.
  • On Feb. 9 a  British Colony Road resident in Fort Salonga reported being verbally harassed.
  • Someone shattered the rear window of a 2002 Ford truck while it was parked in the parking lot of the Fort Salonga Shopping Center sometime on Feb. 5.
  • On Feb. 6 a woman reported to police that someone stole her credit card sometime between 7:40 and 9 a.m. while she was at on Larkfield Road in East Northport.  No charges were made on the card before it was cancelled.
  • Police were notified on Feb. 5 that a bouncer at the West Palm Saloon on Larkfield Road in East Northport was assaulted when he tried to eject an underage person from the premises.
  • An Oleander Drive resident in East Northport reported that someone stole jewelry from his home sometime between Feb. 3 and 4.
  • A woman reported to police on Feb. 3 that someone broke a glass panel on the door of her garage at her 2nd Ave residence in East Northport.
  • Someone slashed three tires and keyed the driver’s side of a 2003 Dodge Caravan while it was parked on Elmont Lane in Elwood sometime between Jan. 30 and 31.
