Suffolk County Police Blotter: Mistreated Mailbox, Playground Mischief, and More

The following arrests were made and incidents reported by Suffolk County police officers between April 6-11.

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The following arrests were made between April 6-11.

Arrests:

  • Mee Park, 24, of Smithtown, was arrested in Northport on April 11 and charged with petit larceny.
  • Kevin Lather, 26, of Greenlawn, was arrested in East Northport on April 8 and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs in the 1st degree, and possession of a hypodermic instrument.
  • Stephen Adams, 41, of Huntington, was arrested in East Northport on April 8 and charged with DWI. First offense.
  • Debra Guire, 54, of East Northport, was arrested in East Northport on April 7 and charged with petit larceny.
  • Matthew Brown, 58, of Northport, was arrested in Huntington Station on April 6 and charged with leaving the scene of an accident which caused damage to another vehicle.

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between April 9-11:

  • On April 11, someone damaged the recreational playground equipment at Cedar Road Park in East Northport by poking a hole in the slide and bending the metal platform.
  • On  April 10, a Green Hill Lane resident in Elwood reported that someone damaged her mailbox.
  • On April 9, a Lorraine Court resident in East Northport reported that someone broke the right rear passenger window of his 1999 Honda Civic, possibly by a pellet gun, and caused damage to the side of the vehicle.
