LIPA crews work to restore dark intersection Thursday evening in East Northport.

An East Northport intersection was dark Thursday, stalling the evening commute.

Suffolk County Police and Long Island Power Authority personnel were working to restore power to the stop light at the intersection of Elwood and Clay Pitts roads.

Eyewitnesses say a car crashed into the pole.

Patch has reached out to Suffolk Police and LIPA seeking more information.

Earlier Thursday an accident disrupted traffic on Larkfield Ave. Suffolk Police say a FedEx truck hit a tree at approximately 1:28 p.m. at Larkfield and 9th Ave. A branch fell onto the roadway.
